Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 October 2026

This policy explains what Billeva stores, why, who else handles it, and how to get it changed or deleted. We keep it short because we collect little: only what it takes to make your invoices.

What we store

  • Your account: your name, email address and password. The password is stored only as a one-way hash, so nobody, us included, can read it.
  • Your business: the details you enter for invoices, such as its name, email, phone, address, website, logo, brand colour, currency and invoice numbering.
  • Your invoices: what you put on them, including your clients' names, email addresses, phone numbers and addresses, and the items and amounts. You add your clients' details, so please only add what the invoice needs.
  • Your plan: which plan you're on, its status and renewal date, and how many invoices you've saved this month. Card details never reach us; Polar handles them.
  • Password reset codes we email you, which expire after 10 minutes.

The free trial on billeva.com/try, used without an account, works entirely in your browser: what you type there isn't sent to us.

What we use it for

Only to run Billeva: to sign you in, show and save your invoices, make their PDFs, apply your plan's limits, and email you about your account (such as password reset codes). We don't sell your data, show ads, or use your invoices for anything else.

Who else handles it

  • Polar (polar.sh) takes payments for paid plans, as the merchant of record. It receives your name and email address, and the payment details you give it.
  • Resend (resend.com) sends our emails, such as password reset codes.
  • Google Cloud stores the logos you upload.
  • Google sign-in, if you choose “Continue with Google”: Google tells us your name and email address and confirms the address is yours. We don't get your Google password or anything else from your Google account.
  • Our hosting provider runs the servers and the database where your account and invoices are kept.

Each of them handles the data only to provide their service to us. We'll share data with anyone else only if the law requires it.

Cookies and browser storage

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser stores your sign-in, and any invoice you haven't saved yet, so you don't lose them when you reload the page. Signing out removes the sign-in.

How long we keep it

As long as you have an account. When you delete it (under Profile), your account, businesses, invoices and logos are deleted straight away. Copies in our backups are overwritten within 30 days.

Your rights

You can see and change most of your data in the app, download your invoices as PDFs, and delete everything by deleting your account. To get a copy of your data, have something corrected, or ask anything else about your privacy, email support@billeva.com. Depending on where you live, you may also complain to your data protection authority.

Security

Connections to Billeva are encrypted, passwords are hashed, and access to accounts is limited to their owner. No system is perfectly secure; if something affecting your data ever goes wrong, we'll tell you.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell signed-in users. Our Terms of Service cover the rest of how Billeva works.
